Cocinas Bondadosas: Zero Waste Recipe Book
Brand Identity / Editorial Design
Social design project to strengthen the visual communication of Cocinas Bondadosas (Kind Kitchens), a food literacy and nutrition programme that seeks to fight anemia and malnutrition in Lurin, one of the poorest districts in Lima, by teaching zero-waste cooking to women leaders of soup kitchens.
I worked with the organizations Ccori Cocina Óptima, Sodexo, and Stop Hunger that carry out the programme to redesign its visual identity and develop a zero-waste-cooking recipe book. I worked closely with women leaders of soup kitchens through a process that combined research and design methodologies to develop an arrangement of visual elements that not only assured that the information was actionable and interesting for the users, but also that they felt valued and motivated to cook the recipes.
