The Green Children of Woolpit
In a Suffolk village, two strange siblings appeared by the mouth of a wolf pit. Their skin was green, their language unknown, and they did not accept any food other than beans. I imagined them back in their world where the light was always soft as in dusk or dawn.
This illustration based on a folktale was part of the Black Shuck and Friends exhibition 2023 in the Bell Gallery in Bungay.
